You can be a mentor, mentee, or both and the time commitment is up to you. We’ll connect you with a local professional mentor to help nurture and grow your career.

About the program

Some examples of Professional Mentorship topics include:

  • How to get into tech
  • How to advance your career and salary
  • Resume Review
  • Portfolio Review
  • Mock Interview
  • How to move into leadership

If you’d like to learn or improve on a specific language, we also recommend you check out some of the language-specific or other meetups in Syracuse to learn and meet others working in your area.

What are our requirements?

  • Mentees live in the Syracuse area (Mentors don’t need to!)
  • Age 18+
  • Abide by our Code of Conduct
  • Mentees can have any level of experience, whether you’ve never coded, have a coding bootcamp certificate, or a college degree in computer science.

CodeSyracuse provides me with everything I need to share my passion for coding with others -- whether it's matching me with mentees, providing feedback and resource, or the support network of other mentors.

Mentorship is a unique chance for self-reflection, growth, and relationship building with your mentee. I am privileged to be a part of it with CodeSyracuse!
